What is an Amazon interview? It is an interview with an online retailer, for Amazon-owned companies. It is not an interview with the company. It is a site that connects you with a company so that you can sell them your wares. You can sell your wares anywhere. It can be a physical store, the web, or even a virtual store. It is, of course, a big deal to get on an interview.
My first interview with an Amazon CEO was a couple of years ago. I was in New York, in the middle of lunch, and I needed to get the interview started. I wanted to ask him a few questions, and it’s just a long way to the Amazon offices so I figured I would stop by there first. I have been a regular customer of Amazon for a few years now, but I had never interviewed them before, so I was feeling a little nervous.
As an aside, my Amazon interview is actually very important to me. In the interview I asked my Amazon CEO, Jack Shroff, about how a lot of his friends thought he was good at Amazon, which made his question really interesting. It’s a big deal to have someone who’s a friend of mine who’s really good at Amazon, and if you ask him, he’ll say you like it.
Jack Shroff is one of the all-time best interviewers of Amazon. In fact, he’s probably the most popular person ever interviewed on Amazon. I was lucky enough to sit down with him for a five minute interview. I was not really expecting to get much out of it, but it turned out to be a pretty interesting story.
I asked Jack what he thought was the best question to ask an Amazon interviewee. His response was so insightful that I’m going to try to paraphrase it. When I said to him, “What do you do for a living?” he said, “Well, I do everything on Amazon. I’m the sales manager for Kindle, Amazon Video, and the Kindle store. I also manage all of the Kindle stores, which is my favorite thing to do.
Jack is a sales manager for a popular e-commerce website on Amazon.com. He’s also the author of the book Amazon: The New Rules of Marketing. I asked him why he chose to be a sales manager on Amazon, and he said, I’ve always been a huge fan of marketing. I love the ability to go to a website and take a look at what’s available, then decide what I want to buy.
Jack said he has always wanted to be a sales manager because he loves being able to say to a customer, “Hey, I have a great coupon for $50 off of this video game.” He said, Ive always been attracted to it because I can get it for free, without having to pay for it.
When a sales person wants to sell something, that’s always going to be a problem. But when a marketer wants to sell something, it comes up with a good reason to sell it. It’s a different kind of marketer. It’s a different kind of marketer because it’s a different kind of marketer.
But why is this guy so obsessed with Amazon? He likes that we’re selling his product for free and all the other people are buying it for free too.
Amazon is obviously a huge, huge source of internet traffic for a lot of people. So you’re going to get a lot of traffic from there. And you’re going to get a lot of traffic too, because it’s the one place where you can get a lot of stuff for really cheap.
