Google is a company that prides itself on being a bit of a tech company, which is really neat when you think about it. That said, the company has made a ton of mistakes over the years and is still trying to learn from them. So when we saw this video, the first thing we did was immediately go to Google’s website to see if we could find some actual information. Sure enough, they had a program manager interview.
The program manager who interviewed us was called Dr. Rachael, and she had some very interesting things to say. We were very impressed, and we are sure she will be teaching a course at Google about self-awareness in the future. Just to give you an idea of who the interviewee is, he is the Director of People at Google. So he is a pretty big deal. He spends a lot of his time building this company from the ground up, and it shows.
In our interview we were also very impressed with the developer of the game, Kelsi. She was very articulate, very professional, and it seemed like she really cared about making the game she wanted to see. We are not sure about that.
The interviewee is a little vague when it comes to the game’s story, but we know it’s a game that is designed to be played in a very short time. Kelsi’s job is to be a facilitator in this interview as well, so she is also a facilitator of the self-awareness of the audience. But as the interviewee, he is vague on what that self-awareness is.
What we do know is that this interview did not go well. We asked Kelsi to explain how Google programs work and she mentioned that Google knows that they make mistakes all the time, so they ask for user feedback. But as a facilitator, he did not say how Google knows they made mistakes and how it can correct itself. He gave us the impression that Google is very transparent about its mistakes, and it has the ability to correct itself.
Google is always in a state of flux in the sense that it is constantly evolving and growing and changing. But, as the interviewee, he did not seem to be aware of the fact that Google makes mistakes. The fact is that the company does not have a formal system for evaluating how well they are doing and for making corrections when it’s necessary. The company’s most important ranking factors are its PageRank and its paid listings.
