For this video (which I want to feature in a future column) I interviewed renowned psychotherapist, author, and psychologist, Bernice Burgos of the Center for Cognitive Therapy. If you are an aspiring or interested in using cognitive therapy, Bernice’s work is an excellent resource. For more information on Bernice’s work, check out her website, and you can read the book she wrote.
As I said in the introduction, I am a big believer in the ability to trust that a person has a good reason for going on a trip to the beach. However, I don’t want to hear the comments that those two people are coming to the beach to be rude and condescending to me, but to get all of that out of my head.
I have always found the idea of two people coming to the beach to get all of their frustrations out of my head to be very interesting. I mean, I suppose I could have just assumed it was just to get some Vitamin D, but you know…
I suppose you could even have looked into the possibility that you were being asked to buy a new car to drive to the beach because you had a long conversation with a very nice guy at the beach. But to be honest I don’t want to be the one to look into that. And I don’t know how the guy who got the car from the beach was able to drive it to the beach. Maybe he was just looking for a way to get the car to the beach.
It’s a good thing that you don’t want to be the one to look into that.
To make sure you’re not the one to look into that, I was on my way to the beach when I noticed that you were standing on the grass watching me.

I got the same thoughts. It’s the same thing with the car’s lights on so you have to go to the beach to check your phone and see what youre doing. And then it turns out that the lights are on because you have a car in the driveway, so you can’t see the car.
No, I want to just watch your reaction.
The moment you start looking at your phone, you are already looking at the phone because you can see the light on your phone but you are still looking at your phone. In the trailer the light is off, but it is still on the screen; but once you get a look at it, you will realize that the light is on because you are looking at your phone.
