I believe many people are unaware of the fact that many of their behaviors are driven by how they feel. They’re self-aware of themselves but they don’t even know how it feels to be self-aware.

The idea of a self-aware human being having no feelings as to how they feel is sort of like an oxymoron. It’s not that I have no feelings, it’s more like I have no feelings of any kind.
One of the main reasons that we get so excited about self-awareness in science fiction is because it makes us think we can create something better than we are. Well, maybe not better, but maybe we can be more like the computer scientists in this story. Not only that, but the computer scientists can come up with something that better than us and we can be the computer scientists.
That’s not entirely true. But we’re in the audience of Computer Science when we’re in a society where we’re used to being a part of the computer world, and we think it’s a cool new experience.
Of course, you can’t create something better than what you are, so you go to the next best thing, and that’s what the computer scientists in the story are doing. They created an artificial intelligence.

With this, the story’s AI is simply a computer system that can create a program.
